Can ceramics be washed in a dishwasher?
Yes. All dishes are fired at a high temperature of about 1250°C, making the ceramics durable, resistant to everyday use, and safe for dishwasher cleaning. However, to maintain their beautiful appearance for as long as possible and enjoy them for many years, I recommend hand washing.
Are the glazes used safe?
Yes. I only use certified glazes intended for contact with food.
Do you accept custom orders?
Yes, if you dream of a unique project or a larger order, please contact me. I would be happy to discuss the possibilities of creating ceramics to your specifications.
What does the delivery process look like and returns?
I ship products throughout Poland and abroad via courier or to parcel lockers. You have 14 days to return the goods in accordance with the store's regulations. You can find detailed information in the Delivery and Returns tab.

Hello, my name is Cornelia and I am the founder of Altro Ceramics.
I create ceramics inspired by simplicity of form and the everyday objects that surround us. My work focuses mainly on mugs, handcrafted in small batches, making each piece unique in its own way.
My journey with ceramics began through professional workshops that introduced me to the craft of working with clay. Since then, I have been developing my own style, guided by mindfulness, curiosity, and experimentation. In the future, I plan to expand my collection to include other functional and decorative pieces.
The name Altro comes from Italian and means “other” or “unique.” It perfectly reflects the nature of my work—every piece is handmade, which means no two are ever exactly alike. The subtle variations, irregularities, and traces of the maker’s hand are not imperfections to me, but part of what makes each object special.
Altro is more than ceramics—it is a way of thinking about everyday life. It is a choice to surround ourselves with objects that are lasting, authentic, and made with intention; pieces that remain with us over time and become a meaningful part of our living spaces.
